See the route

Clonque beach is a stoney beach which has some sandy areas at low tide. It is bounded by Fort Tourgis in the north and Fort Clonque to the south. The latter, a 19th-century fortress that now provides self catering accommodation, is reached by a causeway leading to a drawbridge.

The beach, which is ideal for rock pooling, faces west into the RAMSAR designated wetlands site and out to the Burhou Islands, home to a puffin colony.
