Soldier's Bay

Soldier's Bay, St Peter Port, GY1

See directions

Soldier's Bay is so called because at one time during the nineteenth century it was reserved for the use of officers stationed at the barracks overlooking the bay. It is known to be one of Victor Hugo's favourite spots to bathe too!

Soldier's Bay is a rocky cove and is only accessible via cliff paths which are often 'under renovation'. It is a long walk down and an even longer climb back!
